"CT scan: Computed tomography scan. Detailed images of internal organs are obtained by this type of sophisticated X-ray device. CT scans for computed tomography. The CT scan can reveal anatomic details of internal organs that cannot be seen in conventional X-rays." - MedicineNet. (2016) Definition of CT scan. "Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a technique that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within your body. Most MRI machines are large, tube shapes magnets. When you lie inside an MRI machine, the magnetic field temporarily realigns hydrogen atoms in your body." - Mayo Clinic. (2013). MRI. After producing this research I decided to make my own topographic map as this type of map was my favourite when researching cartography however rather than making one 2D design I decided to produce a 3D map. So I drew up designs for all twenty cross sections based off my research on MRI and CT scans and when put together will create a full topographic map of the interior structure of the head. Due to how complex of a map this will be I decided to simplify the designs when making each cross section design as I learnt from my research of Jazzberry Blue's work that it would look more effective.
