UNIT 8 Secondary Research: Pinterest

Pinterest was a vital part of my secondary research as by producing a Pinterest board - 'Cartography in Art' - I gained knowledge and understanding of how diversely cartography can be used within each of the branches of art and design and inspired me to think more creatively about how I was going to combine cartography, portraiture and 3D.

I also produced a sketchbook page on the textiles artists I found on Pinterest to widen the range of ways cartography is used within art and design in my sketchbook work as my artists were either fine art or 3D. I found three textile artists: Elizabeth Lecourt, Janet Browne and Mary Bryning. I doubt I will be influenced by their work however I gained more knowledge and understanding by producing this research.
